Mrs. Hilary Hines, MS, CCC-SLP

Hi! My name is Hilary Hines. I have worked as the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Jenkins Elementary since February 2000.  Before coming to Jenkins, I worked on the rehabilitation unit at Frye Regional Medical Center, providing speech-language and swallowing therapy for stroke and traumatic brain injured patients.  I have a B.S. in Physical Education/Sports Medicine, a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University. In 2006, I earned Advanced Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of NC by completing additional graduate level work at WCU and ASU.  I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed to practice speech-language pathology in NC by the NC State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology. I am passionate about speech - language therapy and the children at Jenkins Elementary! Please feel free to contact me, or your child's teacher, at any time,  if you have concerns about your child's communication skills.
